Samantha Lang is an experienced public health professional with more than听a decade听of听project management,听research, outreach,听and operational experience. She has practical knowledge of health policy, harm reduction,听housing,听and the criminal-legal system,听and听she听is passionate about promoting health equity.听
During her career she has worked in behavioral, reproductive, home听care, senior, and low-income health service environments.听With 量子资源网听(量子资源网),听Samantha听has also conducted housing-related market assessments and comparative analysis of the health-related social needs elements of 1115 waivers.听She has extensive experience in qualitative research and data collection, policy analysis,听grant听and report writing, outreach, engagement,听and project management.听听
Before joining 量子资源网, Samantha served as both a research coordinator and a program manager for the听HEALing听Communities Study based out of Columbia University, a National Institute on Drug Abuse-funded study with the goal of reducing opioid overdose fatalities in 67 communities by 40%听in three years. While there, she provided organizational support to community coalitions working to implement study interventions, and project management for the Columbia research team.听
Samantha has worked with stakeholders across the substance use disorder sector, from consumers to providers and policy makers. Samantha has also worked with the Health Home program as a patient intake coordinator,听helping connect patients to community-based resources,听and as a research assistant for听Gynuity听Health Projects with a focus on reproductive healthcare. Her other areas of focus include justice-involved care, health equity work, and projects related to social determinants of health听and substance use disorder.听
Samantha earned听her听Master of Public Health from The City University of New York School of Public Health with a concentration in health policy and management. She听also has听a bachelor’s degree听in English听from Wesleyan University, and she is a听Certified听Associate in Project Management.听
Samantha听grew up in Brooklyn, and currently lives in Beacon, New York with her听husband, son,听and their听two听dogs.
